Leaders, are you future-ready?

When my brother joined the US Marine Corps 25 years ago, I marveled over the different colors and patterns of his camouflage fatigues. Tan and beige. Brown and green. White and gray. A battle could happen on a variety of different terrains. He needed options. Once an enemy had been identified and located (i.e. understood), my brother and his unit would be deployed with the best equipment to meet the moment.

But how do you gear up for a fight in an unknown terrain, the shape of which you cannot imagine?

That’s what today’s CXOs are up against.

Since leaving Cognite in 2023, I’ve had the privilege to work with senior organizational leaders in a bunch of start-ups, scale-ups, and corporates across industries. I can tell you that there is a true universality to the challenge before these folks: How to get the most out of their teams in a constantly shifting landscape.

Summer days are hotter. Winter storms more ferocious.

Offices are half-empty. *Cue tumbleweed* And the hybrid workforce is trapped in ten thousand back-to-back meetings. (And the tech still doesn’t function. “Can everyone hear me okay?” “You’re muted, Mike.”)

The AI revolution has dawned. AI tools already offer employees near-superhuman capabilities—boosting their productivity and efficiency. (Ironically, their collaboration with these tools also fuels the next wave of advancements, accelerating innovation, which may ultimately render their own roles obsolete.)

Competition is heating up. Boards pile on the pressure to innovate and achieve that flywheel. There’s more data than ever, but establishing the right goals to move the needles on all these dashboards remains a struggle.

Overnight, DEI has become a dirty word.

Meanwhile, People Leaders are expected to keep their teams aligned, engaged, productive, and accountable, usually while delivering their own high-stakes work, as well. (Oh, and while understanding and securing the mental health and well-being of the people in their care.)

All this as we realize the motivators that got the most of Gen X and Millennials fall flat against the articulated boundaries of Gen Z.

Leaders have a hard enough time wrapping our heads around the challenges of today. How on earth can we prepare for the future?

My answer: We do it with intention. Focused. Bravely. Together.

The Future-Ready Executive Leadership Camp is your chance to master the skills to do just that. Over five days in stunning Tuscany, 12 senior leaders will gain powerful mindsets, practical tools, and deep insights to lead with confidence and clarity. Guided by Corporate Spring’s experts, you’ll tackle real-world challenges, connect with inspiring peers, and reset your leadership path.

More than a retreat—the camp is a transformational experience. One group. Once a year. Only 12 spots.

I attended a Corporate Spring camp in Autumn 2023, and got just the jump-start I needed at that point in my own career. Now, I’m honored to join Annicken Day, Mikael Hansson, and Camilla Nilsson to present this year’s camp… using my teaching and workshop skills to faciliate a powerful macro pause to make leaders better.
